LOCAL CREATIVE GROUP AIMS FOR VICTORY CIRCLE IN 2011 INDIANAPOLIS 500.
HHR Creative designs the look of William Rast Indy Car for team owner Bryan Herta Autosport.
Colorado Springs, CO May 23, 2011 --– HHR Creative, a Colorado Springs-based advertising agency, has more than a casual interest in this week's Indianapolis 500. In fact, they have a car.
The team at HHR Creative, lead by Craig Rae, partner/art director, designed the IZOD IndyCar's paint and color scheme, as well as driver Dan Wheldon's firesuit, for longtime HHR client Bryan Herta Autosport (BHA). The car's primary sponsor is William Rast, an international fashion company founded by Justin Timberlake and Trace Ayala.
"The Indy 500 represents the largest race in the world, so
image and presentation is critical to our team and our
sponsors," says Bryan Herta, team owner. "We have relied
on Craig Rae and HHR Creative for years now, and they
never fail to create designs for the car, uniforms, and team
that are fan favorites."
Rae is a huge gearhead and longtime racing fan, so the
chance to work with Bryan Herta and design an IndyCar was
a dream come true. "The fact that I get to combine two of my greatest passions – design and racing – is so unbelievable," he says. "Some days I literally have to pinch myself to prove that it's real."
HHR's initial assignment was to help develop BHA's brand, identity and communications systems. As their marketing expertise and passion for the sport became more apparent to Herta, the relationship expanded to a true partnership. "We've asked a lot of HHR over the years," he says, "and they've always gone above and beyond our expectations for all of our graphics, creative and media support needs."
While HHR Creative won't be at the race this weekend, if Bryan Herta's car wins, they plan on celebrating with a glass of ice-cold milk in solidarity with the rest of their team in Victory Circle.
